Daniel Muth is a Managing Director of ACP, leading the firm’s Portfolio Operations Group. Dan is an operator with over 18 years of experience in executive management, most recently serving as Executive Chairman of Van Law Foods, the largest contract and toll manufacturer of liquid food products in the western U.S. In the fifteen years before that, Dan served as Chief Executive Officer of International Fiber Corporation and as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Fleischmann’s Vinegar Company, both the largest food ingredient manufacturers of their respective industries. Prior to that, Dan was Chief Financial Officer of Teleflora after leading the portfolio operations and acquisition efforts for Teleflora’s parent company, Roll International. Dan began his career at Bain & Company, working in the San Francisco, London, Moscow and Boston offices across a range of diverse industries, with an eventual emphasis in food manufacturing. For over 12 years, Dan was a member of Young Presidents’ Organization and is now a member of YPO Gold, serving on the Executive Committee of his Chapter. He is a past Trustee (Executive Committee) for Marymount High School. Dan earned is M.B.A. from Harvard Business School where he was a Baker Scholar, and received his B.A., Phi Beta Kappa, in Quantitative Economics with honors from Stanford University.
