Katherine Rice is an Operating Partner with ACP, focusing on investment opportunities in the home furnishing/home improvement, consumer, e-commerce and retail sectors. Prior to joining ACP, Katherine was a senior executive at Williams-Sonoma, Inc. (NYSE: WSM) with deep experience in multi-channel marketing and e-commerce. At WSM, Katherine drove new channel growth, including the incubation of the business sales channel, which she grew to be a $220M+ global business. Katherine led business development, internally launched several business lines, created and managed partnerships and drove online strategy across 7 brands. Katherine also managed consumer and B2B gift cards and e-cards and was the marketing lead with credit card/payment providers.
Prior to assuming her position at WSM, Katherine was a general manager and strategic advisor to the CEO at Sunkist Growers ($1B revenue). Previously she worked at Bain & Company in San Francisco, focusing on clients in the private equity, retail and consumer industries. She began her career in investment banking at Kidder, Peabody in New York, and spent time in brand marketing at Clorox.
Katherine is a past board member of the Western Athletic Clubs and an advisory board member for Dwell on Design. Katherine is a current board member of the Robert Allen Group.
Katherine holds an M.B.A. from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a B.A. from Vanderbilt University.
