Laila Tarraf is a Human Capital Advisor to ACP with more than 25 years professional experience across all facets of human resources, talent management and leadership development. Her experience spans multiple industries (retail, financial services, consumer) and companies at various stages of growth, from startups to mature public entities.

After graduating with her MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley, Laila became one of the founding team members at Walmart.com building the “dot com” team in San Francisco. She then served as Chief People Officer at Peet’s Coffee and Tea, an iconic Bay Area premium coffee company. She later moved into private equity and served as the Director of Human Capital at GI Partners, a mid-market private equity firm in San Francisco.

As a trusted advisor to ACP and its portfolio companies, Laila works with portfolio company leaders and their boards in creating high performance cultures capable of driving results while creating the conditions for employees to do their best work. She leads workshops on leadership, difficult conversations and high-performance cultures and is a guest lecturer at Berkeley Law School. She lives in Marin and enjoys travel, hiking and writing, and practicing her French whenever she can.
