Tim Shanley

Operating Partner

Tim Shanley is currently the CEO of Tall Tree Foods and is an Operating Partner of ACP focused on investment opportunities in the food sector. Tim brings over 25 years of experience in the food sector and has extensive experience across a broad variety of companies, categories and functional areas.

Tim began his career at Mars, Inc., where he spent 13 years across a variety of roles covering engineering, operations, sales and brand management. He was lured from Mars to pursue leadership roles in more entrepreneurial middle-market food companies, where he has since established an exceptional track record of building and positioning branded food companies to drive growth and differentiated value to consumers.

Most recently he was Interim CEO of Ronnoco Coffee, the leading provider of specialty coffee and beverage services in the mid-west. He led the efforts to reinvigorate the team, set clear priorities and identify the critical value-creation levers. He oversaw the search for the permanent CEO and still serves on the board.

Previously, he was CEO of Victoria Fine Foods, which was successfully sold to B&G Foods. Tim was President/CEO from 2013 to 2017, where he led the transition out of family ownership. He built an entirely new management team and migrated the business from a regional contract-packing focused organization to a premium, national branded Italian food business that meaningfully increased the value of the business.

Prior to Victoria, Tim was CEO of Carvel/Celebration Foods (CF). At CF, he led the revamping of the strategic direction while overseeing the design and construction of the award-winning production facility (Food Engineering Plant of the Year), essentially creating a new, high-margin growth business that was eventually sold to Rich’s Products.

Tim earned a BS in Chemical Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He is currently Chairman of the Board at Center for Contemporary Printmaking and holds Board positions at Maxi Canada Inc. (former), Ronnoco Coffee, Lavit, LLC and is on the Advisory Board of Monday Night Brewery.
